2 months

I am a non smoker for 2 months now.  YAY!  For me and Baby H! That is right....baby H!  We are having a baby....and for all those fun details......CLICK HERE
We are super busy right now!  It is Harvest time and with Clay running the Grain Plant at the West Salem Coop....well, I barely see him!   LOL  BUT the pay checks are great!  ;)
Kids are running me in 8,000 different directions.  2 nights of Hockey, 4 nights of gymnastics, Church on Wednesday Nights, girls scouts twice a month, AND the normal chores at home too!  OH DEAR!  I love my kids dearly...but WOW!
This weekend we have not one...but 2 birthday parties....IN ONE DAY!  I know i scheduled them that way.  O well.  It will work.  We are going to have some yummy food and great friends/family over during the day.  Then Lily gets to have her dear girlfriends over for a sleep over!  ;)  Crafts and goodness all lined up for the day and night. We will see if i am this happy about it on Sunday! ;)

well back to work now.....

Not a whole lot

Not a whole lot....that is what is new in my life.  I can tell you that I am loving life right now.  I am truely at a place in my life that I am happy.  YAY!
I have 2 beautiful girls.  Lily and Hannah may get on my nerves most days...but they are my beauties that are mine! <3  I have one handsome, hard working man for my husband.  Yes yes yes, I know....we have only been married for a month...but still he is mine!  And our little family works!
And when I say works....that is what it does.  It works!  It is not always perfect.....but it works!  And we are happy about that.

Other then that....NOTHING.  I have nothing.  we are going thru life.....

Looking for a house......running the girls to gymnastics (4 nights a week), Church on Wednesday nights, and girls scouts 2 times a month.  SO, needless to say....we are busy. lol

back to work....

one full week

I am one full week as a non smoker! YAY!  I never thought I could make it this far.  And now....it is getting easier and easier as the days go by! I have saved over $30 in one week!  that will be $120 in on month!  If Clay sticks with quitting his chew habit....that is another $120 a month!  $240 (give or take) is a VAN payment!  YAY!

Oh how I want a mini Van!  I never thought I would be one to drive one of those things....but wow they look so convenient! But, of course I would want some bells and whistles on in.  Stow and Go seating would be awesome! Remote doors would be a plus too! The dvd player would be nice...but I could get a portable one from the store if need be.  I know what kind I want.  I just need to save up for a good down payment.  That way my payments can be low enough for my liking.

Half tempted to go look on my lunch hour.  But I don't want to rush in to anything. As I tend to do! A LOT!  I want to pick the right one.

well, enough dreaming about a mini van (the thing I always said I would NEVER drive). Back to work...

We survived the lake....barely!

We had a good time.....for the most part.  :)  Fishing....Campfires....boat rides....family time!

It is always fun spending time with family.  My grandma, Mom & Dad, My sister and her family and my Aunt Cindy and Uncle Gary, and us.  Great times. The kids always have a great time playing together. The adults have fun chatting and getting caught up with each other.

The downer of the whole weekend....."WE" forgot the bathroom bag for the whole family!  I say we....as i packed it....but it never made it to the car! WHICH I say is HIS fault....since he was packing the car.  BUT...in the end it did not matter who's fault it was......we had no bathroom stuff.....and that was that.  He did fix it (a little) by running in and getting tooth brushes and deoderant.  BUT, i had no makup up, root booster, hair spray, etc.  It was a baseball cap and no make up for me! The pics are just fabulous! Note my sarcasm!

So...overall......it was a great weekend.  I am pretty sure I was stinky....but owell!  :)  The bugs stayed away!   :)

Off to the Lake!

We are off to the Lake with family all weekend.  YAY!  I have never been to this lake/cabin before.  Should be fun!  ALSO, this is day 4 of NO Smoking. :)

I am doing great!  starting to cough a little bit.....but I hear that is normal.  That should last about 2 weeks.  I had another person tell me that it only takes 21 days to quit a habit.  SO, I only have 17 days to go....lol.  I am just wishing to make it one day at a time.

I am going to try and keep my crabbiness in a box this weekend when at the lake.  :)  I am doing pretty good with that.  Sometimes the box cracks open a little bit and snap.  But, I can generally push it back in and lock it back up!  Then go grab a straw to chew on!

I am looking forward to seeing the girls fish.  It should be fun.  I hoping we do not lose any poles in the water (hannah)  ;)  Or anyone FALLING in the water (hannah).  :)

This is the family's unofficial end of summer.  After this....nothing.  NO plans.  Just normal life of...
Gymnastics on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
JAM at church on Wenesday evenings
and Girl Scouts twice a month!

Not to mention school...homework....chores....etc!  :)  Is it Christmas break yet!  JUST KIDDING!  I do like the hustle and bustle of kids! :)  I dislike the part about not being able to sit down for supper as a family, as we are running here and there.  I guess this is normal?

Day 3 - non smoker

Well, it is day 3 of being a non smoker. It does not seem, at this point, that it is going to be nearly as bad as day 2! I am at least talkative today.

I have not even chewed on my straw once! I am not saying I wont use it...I am SURE of that! :)

Speaking of the straw:
Yesterday my kids could not understand why I needed a straw. Why couldn't they have one? Well, my youngest...Hannah...tested the buttons (what is new). She grabbed my straw and ran! I think I turned into a 4 year old with her. Chasing her thru the house screaming "GIVE THAT BACK" She looked at me like i was NUTS! THEN....she stuck it in her mouth! I thought I was going to cry!

I then came back to adulthood......and walked away. Keep in mind i only briefly lost my mind for like 30 seconds....but wow! It was NOT a proud Mommy Moment! :-S

I then looked at myself and can not believe that nicotine/cigarettes have such a hold on me! I can not believe that a THING......not a person.....a THING.....has that much control on me! I am very disappointed in myself for letting the addiction get this far!

Don't get me wrong....I want to go outside right now and light up...but the other part of me says I have come to far to do that and I do NOT want to go thru the 1st 2 days again!

Day 2!

I love all of the encouragement....but, I would much rather you just BE QUIET! :) And I say that in the nicest possible way!

This is day 2 of no smoking! yay me. I mean YAY ME! I wish I would feel that way! Like this was a good thing. My body and brain have not caught up with that thinking yet! I know I know...I will feel better. I will be more healthy. It will be best for not only me, but my girls too. BLAH BLAH BLAH!

I WANT TO SMOKE RIGHT NOW!

No one ever said this was going to be easy. but, WOW! I will continue this adventure....and I will win! But, i will say it is the hardest thing I have done so far! It is not as painful as child labor...but it is still hard!

I do know that I will be happy when my life is not run by nicotine! When can we leave so i can smoke.....i am getting crabby because i need a smoke.....etc. That will feel great. It is just getting to that point!

They say the first week is the worst.....so bare with me for the next 5 days! :)

time to go chew on my straw some more!

what a week so far....and it is only Wednesday!

well, this week has NOT been boring for sure! WOW!

I kicked it off on Monday waking up feeling cruddy. That did not stop me. I just got out of bed and went forward. Started the day pretty normal. Then came the dentist appointments.

My daughters had their 6 month cleaning. no big deal right? WRONG! We get there, things appear to be going along just fine. The kids are playing with the toys in the waiting room very nicely. I think to myself, this is not too bad. The kids are in a great mood! The lady comes out to take one of them back to the chair. NOOOOO they take both of them back at the same time. I got a little nervous, but the lady said "no biggie, we take siblings back together a lot." OK, I tried to warn her but nope! I am sitting there reading my facebook on my phone.....and then.....

I hear a screaming child and running footsteps. I look around the waiting room....it is filled with 60+ year old people. CRAP! That is my child making the noise! I then look at the door and sure enough here runs Hannah......MOOOOOOOOOOOM! I am asked to come back with her. No problem. She said she was a little scared and wanted mom there. Ok! Nothing too serious. WRONG AGAIN! I get back there and she starts screaming at the top of her lungs! I DON'T WANT THEM TO LOOK AT MY TEETH! over and over and over. We are all trying to soothe her and calm her down.....it gets worse. She even headed for the door.....saying I am just going home.

Now you would think this was the first time she had been to the dentist. Nope! She loved the dentist the last time we were here. She talked about it for days after we were her last time. Talked about all the way there how cool the dentist is.....blah blah blah.....she changed her mind!

I give her two options. Sit in the chair like a big girl. OR she sits on my lap and we will hold her down. She did not want either option! 1....2.....3.......I snagged her up and on my lap she was. Not happy about it but she was there. The chair goes down and there we lay....me holding her arms in a bear hug and a nurse holding her legs so she would stop kicking me. We did not have a problem with her opening her mouth.....since she was screaming. THAT my friends is a the true meaning to KICKING AND SCREAMING!

I felt bad for her but at the same time I could not figure out why she all of a sudden changed her mind about the dentist? Literally in a 5 minute span of time!

OK, now on to Tuesday.....
Start the day feeling like crud again (i have a cold that won't quit).....no biggie....get in the shower and start my day. I drop the kids off at daycare.....head to work and Clay heads to an eye appointment. All normal! Then 10:30 the school decides to let out early due to the weather. No big deal. Until I get the call from school that I am to pick up my nieces too. CRAP I have the Truck! I can't haul all the girls in the truck. what to do.....ok no biggie...made some calls got it all figured out. Good to go. NOPE! Clay calls. Since his eye dr visit his eye is bothering him. He can't opening with out it hurting and it is all swollen. I call and make him an appointment at the dr here is town....since the roads look iffy. Make arrangements for 4 little girls.

And there we sit in the waiting room. He thinks there is something in there. I tell him if there was something in there the dr should have seen it this morning. We wait and wait and wait. Finally we go in to the little room. Come to find out his eye is scratched. They are assuming that it has to do with the new contacts and somehow they scratched his cornea! wonderful! now he has drops to put in his eye 4 times a day so he does not get an infection.

so...that was the start of my week........i am just wondering what this day will bring! lol

Happy (no drama) Wednesday!

******update*****
well, the no drama day.....did not last long! The daycare lady called. Her son is going to the dr today.....CHICKEN POX! wonderful! Now you would think no biggie.....but, I told her not to worry my kids have had the vaccine. She then informs me.....so has he! WHAT?! wonderful! So, now we sit and wait to see if the girls get spots. lol I guess if they do get them it really is no big deal.BUT.....one Mr Clay......has NOT had them yet. So, I will be watching him too!

off to do "spot duty".......

snow in April?

Yes it is snowing! I am not sure what mother nature is thinking but, well, I guess. We live in WI and this is what we get :)

Had a pretty uneventful week. The girls have been recovering from Strep....just for Lily to get a stomach bug and Hannah to have mucus buildup. I did not know that was a medical term...but that is what we were told! So, I am sure they are happy the weather is crappy so they are not missing any outside playing time with this crud!

I am at work right now...later I am heading to LaCrosse with my mom to do some shopping and then maybe a wedding reception later tonight. :)

So, like i said...not much going here this week :) Just some shopping and normal life ;)

Half way there!

I love that my week is half way over! This weekend (of course) is PLUM full! I just have to get there!

Tonight is soup supper at church and then my oldest sings at the service tonight. :) Always love watching her sing. That is one of her most favorite things to do. She is the kind of child that lives in the "glee" world! I have heard her sing in all rooms of the house, doing various tasks. "I am coloring, I am coloring, it is to wonderful I am coloring" that is just an example of her singing. Another one (which I had to put an end too) is singing in the bathroom....while going to the bathroom. That is right. She was sitting there on the toilet singing about what exactly was happening! Thank goodness we did not have any company at that moment in time. When she sings, it some times is not a quiet little song to herself. OH NO! She sometimes does this thing that I call "scream singing" and normally I don't mind. But, I told her I don't think anyone needs to hear her describe her potty time....not even mom. :)

Moving on to tomorrow night. I have a Bud Beer Bar Challenge at the Colonial in Sparta. Those are always fun. Makes Friday morning suck but I love going out and have a great time with listeners/friends.

Friday I am pretty sure I have nothing planned, yet. I say yet, because I always book things. I should learn to say "no" but I just have not learned that word yet!

Saturday I am booked solid! I will start my day cuddling with the kidlets and watching "toonies" for a little bit. Then, it gets crazy. I will be at Lynkris Patio in Sparta for a Live Broadcast from noon - 2. I have never done a broadcast from there before. I love going to new places and meeting new people! After that I will zoom to LaCrosse to The Wedding Tree. My dress came in 2 months early (in case you did not know that) so I have made and appointment to have my first fitting at 3! :) YAY! I can hardly wait! A couple of my ladies will be with me as well. After that I am going to go to Stacey's house (bridesmaid/soon to be sister in law) for her birthday supper. :) Always a great time!

Sunday is Jubilee Sunday at church. This is the service where the kids lead the service! Hoping Hannah is on her best behavior! She tends to act out when in front of a lot of people. I am thinking it is just nerves. That does not make it right, but that is my excuse for it. :)

Then, Monday again......blah!

Embarrasing Moment

I have an Embarrassing Mommy Moment Of The Day (EMMOTD)!

In wally world looking at chips to serve with piggies in a blanket (my nieces favorite). My youngest screams out "MOMMY, LOOK AT THAT MEAN OLD WITCH!" Now, I am curious to see what she is looking at (Praying to GOD that she is looking some silly packaging on the shelf). I turn around to see this pretty little Amish lady STARING AT ME! I want to die at this moment.

I turn to my daughter and she is now pointing! "LOOK MOMMA!"

"NO Hannah, that is not a witch! That is sweet very nice Amish Lady!"

"BUT MOM, SHE HAS A BLACK HAT!"

I just turned around said sorry and sped my cart out of that isle! But, that did not matter the damage had been done! I swear they were in EVERY isle that I was in after that! I could not get out of wally world fast enough. And I Might add.....they were one isle over...EVEN at the check out!

SO THERE IS MY EMMOTD!

Post Party!

Well, I am pretty sure we all have Birthday Party Hangover! :)
What a weekend. I had 2 extra little girls friday night. Then, we threw in and extra dog on Saturday morning. THEN, baking the 2 gumball Cakes. Sunday I got 3 little girls off to Sunday School and home to get the garage in order for a party. I was hoping to have the party outside....but well, that did not happen....it was too cold and windy out.

OH CAKE...back to the Cake. Here is what they looked like....

I think they looked pretty close to the picture! Hannah was VERY happy with her cake! :) I guess that is all that matters!

Now the party is over...and my house is in need of some serious TLC! That would be tonight's task! I did a little last night but Clay told me.....SIT DOWN! I fought him for a couple minutes....then gave up. Sat down...and it was all over from there! :)
