what a week so far....and it is only Wednesday!

well, this week has NOT been boring for sure! WOW!

I kicked it off on Monday waking up feeling cruddy. That did not stop me. I just got out of bed and went forward. Started the day pretty normal. Then came the dentist appointments.

My daughters had their 6 month cleaning. no big deal right? WRONG! We get there, things appear to be going along just fine. The kids are playing with the toys in the waiting room very nicely. I think to myself, this is not too bad. The kids are in a great mood! The lady comes out to take one of them back to the chair. NOOOOO they take both of them back at the same time. I got a little nervous, but the lady said "no biggie, we take siblings back together a lot." OK, I tried to warn her but nope! I am sitting there reading my facebook on my phone.....and then.....

I hear a screaming child and running footsteps. I look around the waiting room....it is filled with 60+ year old people. CRAP! That is my child making the noise! I then look at the door and sure enough here runs Hannah......MOOOOOOOOOOOM! I am asked to come back with her. No problem. She said she was a little scared and wanted mom there. Ok! Nothing too serious. WRONG AGAIN! I get back there and she starts screaming at the top of her lungs! I DON'T WANT THEM TO LOOK AT MY TEETH! over and over and over. We are all trying to soothe her and calm her down.....it gets worse. She even headed for the door.....saying I am just going home.

Now you would think this was the first time she had been to the dentist. Nope! She loved the dentist the last time we were here. She talked about it for days after we were her last time. Talked about all the way there how cool the dentist is.....blah blah blah.....she changed her mind!

I give her two options. Sit in the chair like a big girl. OR she sits on my lap and we will hold her down. She did not want either option! 1....2.....3.......I snagged her up and on my lap she was. Not happy about it but she was there. The chair goes down and there we lay....me holding her arms in a bear hug and a nurse holding her legs so she would stop kicking me. We did not have a problem with her opening her mouth.....since she was screaming. THAT my friends is a the true meaning to KICKING AND SCREAMING!

I felt bad for her but at the same time I could not figure out why she all of a sudden changed her mind about the dentist? Literally in a 5 minute span of time!

OK, now on to Tuesday.....
Start the day feeling like crud again (i have a cold that won't quit).....no biggie....get in the shower and start my day. I drop the kids off at daycare.....head to work and Clay heads to an eye appointment. All normal! Then 10:30 the school decides to let out early due to the weather. No big deal. Until I get the call from school that I am to pick up my nieces too. CRAP I have the Truck! I can't haul all the girls in the truck. what to do.....ok no biggie...made some calls got it all figured out. Good to go. NOPE! Clay calls. Since his eye dr visit his eye is bothering him. He can't opening with out it hurting and it is all swollen. I call and make him an appointment at the dr here is town....since the roads look iffy. Make arrangements for 4 little girls.

And there we sit in the waiting room. He thinks there is something in there. I tell him if there was something in there the dr should have seen it this morning. We wait and wait and wait. Finally we go in to the little room. Come to find out his eye is scratched. They are assuming that it has to do with the new contacts and somehow they scratched his cornea! wonderful! now he has drops to put in his eye 4 times a day so he does not get an infection.

so...that was the start of my week........i am just wondering what this day will bring! lol

Happy (no drama) Wednesday!

******update*****
well, the no drama day.....did not last long! The daycare lady called. Her son is going to the dr today.....CHICKEN POX! wonderful! Now you would think no biggie.....but, I told her not to worry my kids have had the vaccine. She then informs me.....so has he! WHAT?! wonderful! So, now we sit and wait to see if the girls get spots. lol I guess if they do get them it really is no big deal.BUT.....one Mr Clay......has NOT had them yet. So, I will be watching him too!

off to do "spot duty".......

snow in April?

Yes it is snowing! I am not sure what mother nature is thinking but, well, I guess. We live in WI and this is what we get :)

Had a pretty uneventful week. The girls have been recovering from Strep....just for Lily to get a stomach bug and Hannah to have mucus buildup. I did not know that was a medical term...but that is what we were told! So, I am sure they are happy the weather is crappy so they are not missing any outside playing time with this crud!

I am at work right now...later I am heading to LaCrosse with my mom to do some shopping and then maybe a wedding reception later tonight. :)

So, like i said...not much going here this week :) Just some shopping and normal life ;)

Half way there!

I love that my week is half way over! This weekend (of course) is PLUM full! I just have to get there!

Tonight is soup supper at church and then my oldest sings at the service tonight. :) Always love watching her sing. That is one of her most favorite things to do. She is the kind of child that lives in the "glee" world! I have heard her sing in all rooms of the house, doing various tasks. "I am coloring, I am coloring, it is to wonderful I am coloring" that is just an example of her singing. Another one (which I had to put an end too) is singing in the bathroom....while going to the bathroom. That is right. She was sitting there on the toilet singing about what exactly was happening! Thank goodness we did not have any company at that moment in time. When she sings, it some times is not a quiet little song to herself. OH NO! She sometimes does this thing that I call "scream singing" and normally I don't mind. But, I told her I don't think anyone needs to hear her describe her potty time....not even mom. :)

Moving on to tomorrow night. I have a Bud Beer Bar Challenge at the Colonial in Sparta. Those are always fun. Makes Friday morning suck but I love going out and have a great time with listeners/friends.

Friday I am pretty sure I have nothing planned, yet. I say yet, because I always book things. I should learn to say "no" but I just have not learned that word yet!

Saturday I am booked solid! I will start my day cuddling with the kidlets and watching "toonies" for a little bit. Then, it gets crazy. I will be at Lynkris Patio in Sparta for a Live Broadcast from noon - 2. I have never done a broadcast from there before. I love going to new places and meeting new people! After that I will zoom to LaCrosse to The Wedding Tree. My dress came in 2 months early (in case you did not know that) so I have made and appointment to have my first fitting at 3! :) YAY! I can hardly wait! A couple of my ladies will be with me as well. After that I am going to go to Stacey's house (bridesmaid/soon to be sister in law) for her birthday supper. :) Always a great time!

Sunday is Jubilee Sunday at church. This is the service where the kids lead the service! Hoping Hannah is on her best behavior! She tends to act out when in front of a lot of people. I am thinking it is just nerves. That does not make it right, but that is my excuse for it. :)

Then, Monday again......blah!

Embarrasing Moment

I have an Embarrassing Mommy Moment Of The Day (EMMOTD)!

In wally world looking at chips to serve with piggies in a blanket (my nieces favorite). My youngest screams out "MOMMY, LOOK AT THAT MEAN OLD WITCH!" Now, I am curious to see what she is looking at (Praying to GOD that she is looking some silly packaging on the shelf). I turn around to see this pretty little Amish lady STARING AT ME! I want to die at this moment.

I turn to my daughter and she is now pointing! "LOOK MOMMA!"

"NO Hannah, that is not a witch! That is sweet very nice Amish Lady!"

"BUT MOM, SHE HAS A BLACK HAT!"

I just turned around said sorry and sped my cart out of that isle! But, that did not matter the damage had been done! I swear they were in EVERY isle that I was in after that! I could not get out of wally world fast enough. And I Might add.....they were one isle over...EVEN at the check out!

SO THERE IS MY EMMOTD!

Post Party!

Well, I am pretty sure we all have Birthday Party Hangover! :)
What a weekend. I had 2 extra little girls friday night. Then, we threw in and extra dog on Saturday morning. THEN, baking the 2 gumball Cakes. Sunday I got 3 little girls off to Sunday School and home to get the garage in order for a party. I was hoping to have the party outside....but well, that did not happen....it was too cold and windy out.

OH CAKE...back to the Cake. Here is what they looked like....

I think they looked pretty close to the picture! Hannah was VERY happy with her cake! :) I guess that is all that matters!

Now the party is over...and my house is in need of some serious TLC! That would be tonight's task! I did a little last night but Clay told me.....SIT DOWN! I fought him for a couple minutes....then gave up. Sat down...and it was all over from there! :)
